So what is it going be ?

With the current speculation that I have about the bike, expect the mill to pump out around 18PS. The bike will don a full fairing as does the R15 and will be priced in the same bracket. The frame will be a diamond-type with the engine as the stressed member.

What's Suzuki's future plan for India?

The R15 has created lotta waves here in India with the sports plastics, deltabox frame and an engine that can give the top Indian bikes a run for their money. The competition has already taken note and the first counter attack has come in the form of Honda's CBF 150 (http://hmsicbf.blogspot.com).

The next to follow suit will be another Japanese major, Suzuki. The brand is doing considerably well since their breakup with TVS. While their 125cc siblings have done well in the commuter segment, the company's brochure still lacks a serious performance machine. However, it wont remain the same for long. Suzuki is about to introduce a new performance machine which will lie in the 150cc segment, but like the R15, may rewrite all the rules of the game.
